traveling

has anyone read this book? i loved it. it took me half of the book to love it, until then i found it spending too much space on trivial information insignificant to the story. but then i was hooked. i didn't realize it was a love story until the end, rather, i was fascinated with the cultural references in the book - the music, the literature, the art - and the time theme.
if you've read it, please let me know what you think. i'm definately not going to see the movie, i heard it was awful and i don't want to ruin this beautiful story.

I was totally skeptical. But I ended up loving this book too. And the movie wasn't awful it was lackluster. Which kept the book intact for me.

Beautiful photos!

Hello there---
Oh the TTW is an all-time favorite book. I loved the sense of melancholy, I loved the development of the relationship between Henry and Clare. I read it twice, once was aloud to my husband.
I love the new banner on your blog.
Enjoy summer---it looks like you are.

Hello,

I loved the Time Traveller's Wife.
I found it very complex, cleverly done, yet very moving at the same time.
One of my favourites books ever.

oh, that wander through the woods... love the "archery in progress" sign. priceless.

about the book. party popper that I am I have to say "bleh". from page one I had the same reaction you mention (the whole superficial detailed bla); only it stayed with me until the end. I made myself finish reading it but I found the writing pretty poor, I'm afraid. sorry.
fabulous effort for a novice, though. I mean... hats off big time. just not my thang ;)

Ninja; I guess that's the up side (and down side) to reading in a foreign language - it covers up flaws and poor writing ;)
