special treat

my lovely daughter made me a gift a little while ago.

you guessed it. earrings!
i tried to explain to her why i wouldn't put them on right away.
she gentle explained back to me that i needn't worry about it being painful, as she had made her friend a pair the day before in kindergarten - out of two used nails she had found on the ground. and it worked just fine.
right.
maybe i ought to have called that girl's mother?

So did you put them on after listening intently to her logical reasoning? :)

amanda: haha, no! i changed the subject, hid them, hoping she'd forget about them, but on two occasions she's found them and been partly hurt and partly angry. i'v managed to change the subject both times, though. i guess i ought to have thrown them out, but i just can't make myself do that..
